Materials

• Yarn: DK weight yarn, approximately 1200-1600 yards, in a soft yellow hue
• Needles: US Size 6 (4mm) circular knitting needles
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
• Stitch markers
• Measuring tape

Gauge

22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Instructions

Body

1. CO 180 sts. Join in the round, being careful not to twist.
2. Knit 6 rounds in 2x2 rib (K2, P2).
3. Begin pattern:
   • Round 1: *K5, YO, K2tog, K3* repeat around.
   • Round 2: Knit all stitches.
   • Round 3: *K4, YO, K2tog, K4* repeat around.
   • Round 4: Knit all stitches.
   • Round 5: *K3, YO, K2tog, K5* repeat around.
   • Round 6: Knit all stitches.
   • Round 7: *K2, YO, K2tog, K6* repeat around.
   • Round 8: Knit all stitches.
   • Round 9: *K1, YO, K2tog, K7* repeat around.
   • Round 10: Knit all stitches.
   • Round 11: *YO, K2tog, K8* repeat around.
   • Round 12: Knit all stitches.
4. Repeat rounds 1-12 until piece measures 20 inches from CO edge or desired length.

Shoulders

1. Divide for front and back: Place 90 sts on stitch holder for front and 90 sts for back.
2. Knit in pattern for back until it measures 8 inches from divide.
3. BO all stitches for back.
4. Repeat for the front, knitting in pattern until it measures 6 inches from divide.

Sleeves

1. With circular needles, pick up 80 stitches around the armhole.
2. Join in the round and knit the pattern:
   • Round 1: *K5, YO, K2tog, K3* repeat around.
   • Continue pattern as established from rounds 1-12.
3. Continue until sleeve measures 18 inches or desired length from pick up.
4. BO all stitches.
5. Repeat for other sleeve.

Finishing

• Weave in all loose ends using the tapestry needle.
• Block gently to measurements.
