Materials:

• Medium worsted weight yarn (approx. 100 yards)
• Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch
• st - stitch

Gauge:

Each bootie measures approximately 4” in length (unstretched).

Instructions:

Bootie Sole:

1. Chain 12.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 10 ch, 3 sc in last ch. You should now have 12 sc along that side. Turn your work to crochet along the opposite side of the chain.
3. Row 2: Working on the opposite side of the chain, sc in next 10 ch, 2 sc in last ch. (You now have 24 stitches.)
4. Row 3: Sc in each st around. (24 sc)
5. Row 4: [Sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st] repeat until end of row. (28 sc)
6. Row 5: Sc in each st around. (28 sc)

Bootie Body:

1. Row 6: [Sc in next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st] repeat until end of row. (32 sc)
2. Row 7-12: Sc in each st around.

Cuff:

1. Row 13: [Ch 1, dc in next st, skip next st] repeat until end of row. (16 dc)
2. Row 14-16: Ch 1, dc in each st around.

Finish:

1. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
2. Create another bootie following the same instructions.
