Materials:

• DK weight #3 yarn in gradient colors: cream, peach, pink, and berry (approx. 1100-2100 yds depending on size)
• 4mm crochet hook
• Tape measure

Gauge:

10 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in double crochet.

Instructions:

Back Panel:

1. With cream yarn, ch 80 (90, 100, 110, 120) to start.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (76, 86, 96, 106, 116 dc)
3. Rows 2-10: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Change to peach yarn in the last dc of Row 10.
4. Rows 11-20: Repeat Row 2. Change to pink yarn in the last dc of Row 20.
5. Rows 21-30: Repeat Row 2. Change to berry yarn in the last dc of Row 30.
6. Rows 31-40: Repeat Row 2.

Front Panels (make 2):

1. With cream yarn, ch 45 (50, 55, 60, 65).
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (41, 46, 51, 56, 61 dc)
3. Rows 2-10: Ch 3, dc in each st across. Turn. Change to peach yarn in the last dc of Row 10.
4. Rows 11-20: Repeat Row 2. Change to pink yarn in the last dc of Row 20.
5. Rows 21-30: Repeat Row 2. Change to berry yarn in the last dc of Row 30.
6. Rows 31-40: Repeat Row 2.

Assembly:

1. Lay the back panel flat and position the front panels over the back, aligning the shoulders. Use a tapestry needle to sew the shoulder seams with whip stitches.
2. Fold the vest and align the side seams. Sew them together, leaving arm openings.
3. Fasten off and weave in all ends.

Edging:

1. Attach cream yarn at the bottom right front edge.
2. Row 1: Sc evenly along the inner front edge and neckline for a clean finish. Fasten off and weave in ends.
3. Repeat on the opposite side.

Block your vest if needed to relax stitches and shape.
