Materials Needed
- Worsted weight yarn in cream, lavender, yellow, and pink.
- Crochet hook size H/5.0mm.
- Tapestry needle.
- Scissors.

- ch: chain
- sl st: slip stitch
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- tr: treble crochet
- st: stitch
Instructions
Base Granny Square
- With cream yarn, create a magic ring and ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc into ring, *ch 2, 3 dc into ring* repeat 3 times. Tighten ring and join with sl st to top of ch 3. (12 dc)
- Switch to lavender yarn, sl st into ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space. *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-2 space* repeat around, join with sl st. (24 dc)
Additional Squares
Repeat the Base Granny Square pattern for a total of 12 squares, alternating colors as desired: lavender, yellow, and pink.
Joining Squares
Sew the squares together to form a circle (4 squares around). Ensure colors alternate in a pleasing pattern.
Hat Band
- With cream yarn, attach to one corner of the circle. Work sc evenly around the bottom of the hat, ensuring you pick up stitches evenly from each square (approx. 72 sts)
- Work sc in each st around for 6 more rounds, creating the ribbed band. Finish off and weave in ends.
Finishing Touches
Fasten off and weave in any remaining ends. Your colorful floral granny square slouch hat is now complete!
