Crochet Vintage Boho Granny Square Skirt Free Pattern

Materials:

• Cotton yarn in cream, pink, green, mustard, navy, and brown.
• 4mm crochet hook.

Instructions:

Granny Square:

Make 30 squares in different color combinations.

1. Start with a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as dc), work 2 dc into ring, ch 2, (3 dc, ch 2) three times, sl st to top of starting ch 3 to join. (12 dc, 4 ch-2 sp)
2. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 1, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 1*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to top of starting ch 3 to join. (24 dc, 8 ch-1 sp)
3. Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1*, repeat from * to * around, sl st to top of starting ch 3 to join. (36 dc, 12 ch-1 sp)

Assembly:

1. Arrange the squares in a 5x6 layout as desired. Make sure to alternate colors for a balanced look.
2. Join squares together using your preferred method (slip stitch or single crochet) on the wrong side to form the main body of the skirt.

Waistband:

1. Attach yarn to any corner of the top row of squares.
2. Ch 1, sc around the top edge of the skirt for 2 rows.
3. If using an elastic band, fold over the edge and seam it to create a casing for the band. Otherwise, continue with hdc rows until desired waistband height is reached, then create an optional drawstring.

Finishing:

• Weave in all ends securely with a tapestry needle.
