Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in black, dark gray, and white
• Size 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Fiberfill stuffing

Instructions

Body (make 2)

1. With black yarn, create a magic ring with 6 sc. (6 sts)
2. Rnd 1: inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc in next st) around. (18 sts)
4. Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st) around. (24 sts)
5. Rnd 4-10: sc in each st around. (24 sts)
6. Rnd 11: (sc in next 2 sts, dec in next st) around. (18 sts)
7. Rnd 12: (sc in next st, dec in next st) around. (12 sts)
8. Stuff firmly.
9. Rnd 13: dec around. (6 sts)
10. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Head (make 2)

1. With dark gray yarn, create a magic ring with 6 sc. (6 sts)
2. Rnd 1: inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. Rnd 2: (sc in next st, inc in next st) around. (18 sts)
4. Rnd 3: (sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st) around. (24 sts)
5. Rnd 4-8: sc in each st around. (24 sts)

Ears for Elephant

Ears for Bear

1. With dark gray yarn, create a magic ring with 6 sc. (6 sts)

3. Rnd 2-3: sc in each st around.
4. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Arms (make 4)

1. With black yarn, create a magic ring with 6 sc. (6 sts)
2. Rnd 1: inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. Rnd 2-6: sc in each st around. (12 sts)
4. Switch to white yarn and sc in each st around for 2 more rounds.
5. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Assembly

• Sew the heads to the bodies.
• Attach the ears to the sides of each head.
• Sew the arms to the sides of the bodies.
• Embroider a small triangle on the bear’s face with white yarn for the snout.
• Embroider features as desired with black yarn.
