Materials Needed:

  • Size K/10.5 (6.5 mm) crochet hook

  • Measuring tape

Abbreviations:

  • dc = double crochet
  • sk = skip
  • sp = space

Finished Dimensions:

Approximately 50 inches by 60 inches.

Instructions:

  1. Start by making a slip knot and chain 110 stitches (this will give you a width of approximately 50 inches).
  2. Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make a double crochet (dc). *Ch 2, sk next 2 ch, dc in the next ch*. Repeat from * to * across the row, ending with a dc in the last ch. Turn your work.
  3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in the first ch-2 space. *Ch 2, dc in the next ch-2 space*. Repeat from * to * across. You will finish with a dc in the top of the turning ch. Turn your work.
  4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in the first ch-2 space. *Ch 2, dc in the next ch-2 space*. Repeat from * to * across, ending with a dc in the top of the turning ch. Turn your work.
  5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until your blanket reaches approximately 60 inches in length (this should take about 40 rows, but you can adjust as needed).
  6. Last Row: Ch 1 and single crochet (sc) in each dc and ch-2 space across to create a finished edge.
  7. Fasten off and weave in all loose ends using the tapestry needle.

Care Instructions:

Hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry to maintain the integrity of the stitches.
