Materials Needed
- Yarn: Size 10 crochet cotton thread in white
- Crochet Hook: 1.25 mm (US Steel Crochet Hook 10)
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
Gauge is not critical for this pattern.
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- dc: double crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
- sp: space
- rep: repeat
Instructions
Note: Work tightly to maintain motif shape.
Round 1:
Ch 4, sl st to form a ring.
Round 2:
- Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into ring. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3. (12 dc)
Round 3:
- Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 4, skip next dc, sc in next dc, continue around. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 ch-4 sps)
Round 4:
- Sl st into first ch-4 sp, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 2 dc in same sp, ch 2, 3 dc in same sp, *3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-4 sp*; rep from * to * around.
- Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3.
Round 5:
- Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 5, sc in ch-2 sp, *ch 5, sc in next dc cluster*; rep from * to * around.
- End with ch 5, sl st in first sc. (12 ch-5 sps)
Round 6:
- Sl st to first ch-5 sp, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, *5 dc in next ch-5 sp*; rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of beginning ch-3. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Block the finished motif to straighten and shape it beautifully.
