Delicate Crochet Lace Doily
Materials
- Crochet thread (size 10) in white
- Crochet hook size 1.75 mm
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Abbreviations
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sp = space
- rep = repeat
Instructions
Note: The doily is worked in rounds.
Round 1:
Start with a magic circle. Work 12 dc into the circle. Join with a sl st to the top of the first dc. (12 dc)
Round 2:
Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), dc in same st, *ch 2, 2 dc in next st*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3. (24 dc, 12 ch-2 sp)
Round 3:
Slip stitch to first ch-2 sp. Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1), (dc, ch 1, dc) in same sp. *Ch 1, (dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch sp*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4.
Round 4:
Sl st to first ch-1 sp, ch 4, (dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp. *Ch 2, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch sp*. Rep from * to * around. Join with sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 4.
Round 5:
Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each dc and ch-2 sp around. Join with sl st to first sc.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in any loose ends using a tapestry needle. Block the doily to shape.
