Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- BO: Bind Off
Instructions
- Cast On: CO 32 stitches using the long-tail cast on method.
- Set Pattern:
- Row 1: *Knit 2, Purl 2*; repeat from * to * across the row.
- Row 2: *Purl 2, Knit 2*; repeat from * to * across the row.
- Continue this ribbing pattern (Rows 1 and 2) until the piece measures approximately 60 inches or your desired length. Ensure the texture remains consistent and no stitches are dropped, as this will maintain the structure of the blanket.
- Bind Off: BO in pattern. That is, knit the knit stitches and purl the purl stitches as you bind off to maintain the edge consistency.
- Weave in all ends securely using the tapestry needle. Ensure the metallic strands are not sticking out, as they might catch on things.
- Optional: Block the blanket gently to even out stitches and enhance the texture.
