Whimsical Textured Ripple Throw Blanket
This blanket is crafted using a series of ripple stitches combined with a unique bobble texture. The ruffles at the edge add an extra playful touch. Follow this pattern to create your own vibrant throw!
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in five colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple)
- Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- Measuring tape
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Bobble Stitch (bobble)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
Pattern Instructions:
Body of the Blanket:
- With Color A (red), chain 100 (or desired width).
- Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across (98 dc). Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next dc, *ch 1, skip 1 dc, dc in next 2 dc; repeat from * until one dc remains, dc in last dc. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first dc, *bobble in ch-1 space, sc in next 2 dc; repeat from * across. Turn.
- Rows 4-20: Alternate colors every 2 rows, continuing the ripple pattern.
Adding the Ruffle:
- With the last color (purple), ch 1, then sc in the first dc.
- Next: *ch 5, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across.
- Finish by slip stitching into the first sc. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Finishing Touches:
