Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in Navy Blue, White, Gold, Black, Red, and various other colors for badges
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors

Gauge
14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches
Finished Size
Approximately 50 x 60 inches
Instructions
Base Blanket
- With Navy Blue, ch 110.
- Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (109 sts)
- Repeat Row 1 until the piece measures 50 inches or desired length.
Shoulder and Collar Section
- From the top row, count 25 stitches on each side and place a marker. These are the shoulders.
- Add a contrasting white yarn section in the middle 59 stitches for the shirt collar. Work in sc for 10 rows.
Details and Embellishments
Gold Stripes and Patches
- Using Gold, crochet stripes and attach to shoulder and sleeve with a tapestry needle.
- Add rank insignias as shown, using surface slip stitches.
Buttons
- Sew buttons evenly spaced down the front center using a tapestry needle and matching thread.
Decorative Badges
- Use various colors to crochet small rectangles and squares for badges. Attach using a tapestry needle.
Finishing
Weave in all ends. Block the blanket to shape and size.
