Whimsical Holiday Wreath Coaster Pattern
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in green, red, white, and gold
- Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
- Fiber fill (optional, for extra puffiness)
Gauge: 4 inches = 10 stitches in a double crochet (DC)
Finished Size: Approximately 5 inches in diameter
Instructions:
Wreath Base:
- With green yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as first DC), 11 DC into the ring. Join with a slip stitch to the top of the beginning chain—12 DC.
- Round 2: Chain 3, 2 DC in each stitch around. Join (24 DC).
- Round 3: Chain 3, (DC in next stitch, 2 DC in next stitch) repeat around. Join (36 DC).
- Rounds 4-5: Chain 3, DC in each stitch around. Join. (Continue for 2 rounds; no increases.)
Leafy Accents:
- With green yarn, ch 15. Row 1: In 2nd ch from hook, DC, HDC, SC, slip stitch; leave a long tail for sewing.
- Make 5 leaves total, spacing them evenly around the outer edge of the wreath.
Decorative Berries:
- With white yarn, make 6 small chains (ch 3) and join to form tiny circles.
- Embellish by weaving a small strand of gold yarn through each berry.
Finishing Touches:
- Use the yarn needle to sew leaves and berries onto the wreath.
- Optionally, add a small tuft of fiber fill behind each berry for a 3D effect!
- Lastly, weave in all ends and enjoy your festive coaster!
Care Instructions: Hand wash and lay flat to dry.
