Materials Required:
- Worsted weight yarn in skin tone, green, red, yellow, and blue
- G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Safety eyes (12 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in single crochet.
Measurements:
Finished lovey measures approximately 18 inches square.
Notes:
- Gnome head and body are worked in rounds.
- Blanket is worked in rows, starting from the bottom and increasing outwards.
Pattern Steps:
Gnome Head:
1. With skin tone yarn, make a magic circle, ch 1. 2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6). 3. Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (12). 4. Round 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (18). 5. Round 4: *sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (24). 6-8. Rounds 5-6: sc in each st around. 9. Stuff head before closing. 10. Round 7: *sc in next 2 st, dec* repeat around (18). 11. Round 8: *sc in next st, dec* repeat around (12). 12. Finish off and weave in ends.Gnome Body:
1. With green yarn, make a magic circle, ch 1. 2. Round 1: 6 sc in magic circle (6). 3. Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (12). 4. Round 3: *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* repeat around (18). 5. Rounds 4-6: sc in each st around. 6. Round 7: *sc in next 4 st, dec* repeat around (15). 7. Round 8: *sc in next 3 st, dec* repeat around (12). 8. Stuff the body and sew the head on top.Gnome Hat:
