Crochet Vibrant Wavy Chevron Throw Blanket Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Bulky weight yarn in multiple colors (at least 5 different shades)
- Size N (10 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Size:
Approximately 36 inches wide by 40 inches long.
Gauge:
10 stitches = 4 inches in double crochet.
Abbreviations:
- ch - chain
- dc - double crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- st - stitch
- rep - repeat
Pattern Instructions:
- Make a foundation chain of 85 stitches (or any multiple of 20 for larger sizes).
- Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, work 1 dc. Continue to dc in each chain across. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next stitch, *skip 2 stitches, 5 dc in next stitch; repeat from * across, end with 1 dc in last stitch. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *skip 2 stitches, 5 dc in next stitch; repeat from * across, end with 1 dc in last stitch. Turn.
- Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next 2 stitches, *skip 2 stitches, 5 dc in next stitch; repeat from * across, end with 1 dc in last stitch. Turn.
- For the next rows, continue the pattern until you reach your desired length, changing colors every 4 rows to create a multi-colored effect.
- To finish, sl st around the entire blanket to create a border. Tie off and weave in all ends.
