Crochet Vibrant Wave Pattern Throw Blanket
Materials Required:
- Medium weight yarn (4) in 5 different colors
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
12 stitches and 7 rows = 4 inches with single crochet.
Notes:
- This blanket is made in sections using the join-as-you-go method.
- Feel free to mix and match colors as desired.
Instructions:
Foundation Row:
Ch 150. Turn.
Row 1:
In the 2nd ch from hook, sc in each st across. (149 sc)
Row 2:
Ch 1, turn. Sc in first st, 3 dc in next st, *sc in next st, 3 dc in next st; repeat from * across to last 2 sts, sc in last st.
Row 3:
Ch 1, turn. Sc in first st, *3 dc in next sc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across to last st, sc in last st.
Rows 4-20:
Repeat Rows 2 and 3, alternating colors every 2 rows until blanket reaches desired length.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in all ends. Optional: add a border of single crochet around the blanket for a polished finish.
Size:
Approximately 50 inches x 70 inches, adjustable by adding or removing foundation chains.
Care Instructions:
Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
