Crochet Vibrant Geometric Twist Earrings Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Size 20 crochet thread in contrasting colors (recommend at least 3 colors)
• Crochet hook size 1.5mm (or size to achieve desired tension)
• Earring hooks
• Flat nose pliers
• Scissors
• Stiffening spray (optional)

Stitch Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch

Instructions:

1. Base Row: Using Color A, ch 18.
2. Row 1: In the 2nd ch from hook, sc. Sc in each ch across (17 sc total). Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in the same st. *Skip 1 st, dc in next st; repeat from * across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the first dc. *Ch 2, skip next dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * until end, making sure to finish with sc in the last stitch. Turn.
5. Row 4: Change to Color B, ch 1, sc in the first sc. *Ch 3, skip next ch-2, sc in next sc; repeat from * to end. Turn.
6. Row 5: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in the same st, *skip next sc, dc in next sc; repeat from * until the last st, dc in the final st. Turn.
7. Row 6: Change to Color C, ch 1, sc in the first dc, *ch 2, skip next dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * to end. Turn.
8. Repeat Rows 2-6 twice more, alternating colors as desired for the twist and finishing with a Row 6 in Color C.
9. Finishing: Fasten off and leave a long tail. Use the tail to gather and twist the piece into a teardrop shape. Secure with a knot.
10. Attach the earring hook to the top of the twist using flat nose pliers.
11. If desired, spray lightly with stiffening spray for added structure.

Repeat for the second earring.
