Crochet Vibrant Geometric Tapestry Throw Blanket Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Choose four colors of medium-weight yarn (size 4, approximately 200 yards each)
- Hook: 5.00 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge: 14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in tapestry crochet
Dimensions: The finished blanket will be approximately 50" x 60" (127 cm x 152 cm).
Pattern Instructions:
- Start your foundation: Chain 150 stitches in your primary color. This will form the base of your blanket.
- Row 1: In the 2nd chain from the hook, work a single crochet. Continue to single crochet across the row, changing colors at your designated points according to your chart, until you reach the end of the row. Turn your work.
- Row 2 and onwards: Follow the tapestry chart for the geometric pattern, changing colors as needed. Each row will alternate between different colors, using a combination of single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet stitches to create depth throughout the pattern.
- Border: Once your blanket reaches the desired height (about 60 rows), add a border using the primary color. Work a single crochet around the entire blanket, placing three single crochets in each corner to give it a clean finish.
- Finishing: Weave in all ends with your tapestry needle and block your blanket if necessary before use.
Enjoy snuggling under your vibrant geometric tapestry blanket!
