Crochet Textured Twisted Stripe Throw Blanket

This crochet throw blanket features a beautiful twisted stripe pattern that embodies cozy comfort and modern style. Using a worsted weight yarn, this throw is perfect for curling up on chilly evenings.

Materials:

  • Worsted weight yarn (800-1000 yards total) - choose 3 complementary colors
  • Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

14 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in twisted stripe pattern

Finished Size:

Approximately 50 inches by 60 inches

Stitches Used:

  • Chain (ch)
  • Single crochet (sc)
  • Double crochet (dc)
  • Front post double crochet (FPdc)
  • Back post double crochet (BPdc)

Pattern Instructions:

Start with a foundation chain of 110 (multiple of 10 + 1).

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across (109).

Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), dc in each sc across.

Row 3: Ch 3, dc in first st, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st; repeat from * across, ending with dc in last st.

Row 5: Ch 3, dc in first st, *bpdc around next st, fpdc around next st; repeat from * across, ending with dc in last st.

Repeat Rows 2-5, alternating colors every 4 rows or as desired until blanket reaches approximately 60 inches in length. 

Finish with a row of sc around the entire blanket to create a border.

Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.

Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Do not bleach.
