Instructions:
Start by making a foundation chain of 36 stitches.
Row 1:
In the second chain from the hook, make 1 sc. Continue sc across the row (35 sc). Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 2 (counts as first dc), make 1 dc in the same stitch. *Skip the next stitch, in the following stitch, make 1 loop stitch, then 1 dc in the same stitch.* Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Turn.
Row 3:
Ch 1, make 1 sc in each stitch (including loop stitches) across the row. Turn.
Row 4:
Ch 2 (counts as first dc), make 1 dc in the same stitch. *Skip next stitch, make 1 loop stitch in the next stitch, then 1 dc in the same stitch.* Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Turn.
Repeat Rows 2-4 until the blanket square measures approx. 24" x 24".
Finishing:
Fasten off, and weave in all ends. You can add a border of 1 round of sc all around the square for an extra touch.
