Crochet Textured Cascade Blanket Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn (4 medium) - approximately 1200 yards
  • Crochet hook size I/9 (5.5 mm)
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Gauge:

18 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch (after blocking).

Finished Size:

Approx. 50” x 60”.

Abbreviations:

  • ch = chain
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • tr = treble crochet
  • sp = space
  • rep = repeat
  • rnd = round

Pattern Instructions:

Base Chain:

Ch 141 (or any even number for desired width).

Row 1:

Starting in the 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across. Turn. (139 dc)

Row 2:

Ch 2 (counts as first dc), *skip next stitch, tr in next stitch, sc in next stitch; rep from * across until last st, dc in last st. Turn.

Row 3:

Ch 2, dc in each dc and sc across, placing 2 dc in each tr. Turn.

Row 4:

Ch 1, sc in first st, *skip next st, tr in next stitch, sc in next; rep from * across until last st, sc in last st. Turn.

Row 5:

Ch 2, dc in each st across. Turn.

Repeat Rows 2-5

until blanket measures 60” or desired length.

Finishing:

Fasten off and weave in all ends. Optionally, add a border of your choice for a finishing touch.
