Soft Textured Cloud Blanket

Materials Needed:

• Lightweight yarn (Size 3, approximately 700-900 yards)
• Crochet hook size H (5.0mm)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used:

• Chain stitch (ch)
• Double crochet (dc)
• Slip stitch (sl st)
• Cloud stitch (special stitch: [1 dc in next st, ch 1, 1 dc in same st])

Pattern Instructions:

1. Foundation Chain: Chain 100 (or desired width). This will form the base of your blanket.
2. Row 1: Double crochet in the 4th chain from the hook, and in each chain across (total 98 dc). Turn your work.
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), then dc in each dc across. Turn your work. Total of 98 dc.
4. Row 3: Ch 3, *cloud stitch in next st, skip 1 st; repeat from * across. DC in the last st. Turn your work.
5. Row 4: Repeat Row 3 until the blanket measures approximately 40 inches in length (or desired size).
6. Border: After reaching your desired length, do not fasten off. Ch 1 and work 1 sc in each dc and cloud stitch around the entire blanket. At corners, work 3 sc in each corner stitch. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc.
7. Finish: Fasten off, weave in ends, and enjoy your new blanket!
