- 92 yards of Bulky Weight Yarn (5)
- 6.5 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle

10 Hdc x 7 rows = 4 x 4 inches

Instructions
Hat Body
- Make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 2 (does not count as a st here and throughout), 10 hdc into the ring. Sl st to the first hdc. (10 sts)
- Round 2: Ch 2, 2 hdc in each st around. Sl st to first hdc. (20 sts)
- Round 3: Ch 2, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in next st*. Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first hdc. (30 sts)
- Round 4: Ch 2, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts*. Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first hdc. (40 sts)
- Round 5: Ch 2, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first hdc. (50 sts)
- Round 6: Ch 2, *2 hdc in next st, 1 hdc in each of next 4 sts*. Repeat from * to * around. Sl st to first hdc. (60 sts)
- Rounds 7-15: Ch 2, hdc in each st around. Sl st to first hdc. (60 sts)
Ribbed Brim
- Round 16: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Sl st to first sc. (60 sts)
- Round 17: Ch 7, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch down. Sl st in next 2 sts of the hat body, turn.
- Round 18: Skip the 2 sl sts, sc in blo of each sc to end of ribbing row, ch 1, turn.
- Repeat rounds 17 and 18 around the hat, joining each row to the hat body.
- Finish by slip stitching the last row to the first row of the ribbing. Fasten off and weave in ends.
