Crochet Regal Textured Medallion Throw Free Pattern

Materials Needed:
- Medium weight yarn (4) - 4 colors (A: Cream, B: Burgundy, C: Forest Green, D: Gold)
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Finished Dimensions:
Approximately 50” x 60”
Gauge:
16 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in Single Crochet (SC)
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Slip Stitch (sl st)
Pattern Instructions:
Medallion Squares:
Make 12 Medallion Squares (6 in Color A, 3 in Color B, and 3 in Color C)
1. With Color A, ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring. 2. Round 1: ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc in ring, join with sl st. (12 dc) 3. Round 2: Change to Color B, ch 3, dc in same st, *2 dc in next st; repeat from * around, join with sl st. (24 dc) 4. Round 3: Change to Color A, ch 1, *sc in next st, ch 2, skip next st; repeat from * around. (12 ch-2 spaces) 5. Round 4: Change to Color C, trim as desired. Join and fasten off.
Border:
1. Join Color D at any corner of a medallion square with a sl st. 2. Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in each st around, placing 3 sc in each corner to maintain the throw shape. 3. Repeat around all sides of the throw, join with sl st to first sc, fasten off.Assembly:
1. Block each medallion square to size. 2. Arrange squares in a visually pleasing layout (alternating colors). 3. Sew squares together using slip stitch or whip stitch method. 4. Weave in all loose ends.Care Instructions:
Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
