Lacy Whimsical Shells Throw Blanket Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn (approx. 1200 yards)
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
15 stitches and 9 rows = 4 inches in Lacy Whimsical Shells stitch.
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- sk = skip
- st = stitch
Instructions:
Foundation Chain:
Ch 104 (or any multiple of 8 + 4 for desired width).
Row 1:
In the 4th ch from hook, make 1 dc. *Ch 2, skip 2 ch, make 1 dc in the next ch; repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *make 2 dc in the ch-2 space, ch 2, make 3 dc in the same space; repeat from * across, ending with 1 dc in the turning ch. Turn.
Row 3:
Ch 2, hdc in the first dc, *ch 2, skip 1 dc, hdc in next dc; repeat from * across, ending with ch 1 and hdc in the last dc. Turn.
Row 4:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *2 dc in the ch-2 space, ch 2, 3 dc in the same space; repeat from * across. Turn.
Repeat Rows 2-4 until your blanket reaches your desired length, finishing with Row 3.
Finishing:
Fasten off and weave in your ends. Optionally, add a border of single crochet around the entire blanket to finish.
