Crochet Festive Holiday Gift Tags and Ornaments Free Pattern

Materials

• Worsted weight yarn in cream, blue, green, red, white, and black
• Crochet hook size G/4.0 mm
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch
• RS = right side

Instructions

Base Tag

Make 4 in cream, 4 in blue:

1. Ch 11.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across. (10 sc)
3. Rows 2-14: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across.
4. Round 15: Ch 1, sc evenly around the edge of the rectangle, placing 3 sc in each corner, join with sl st to first sc.
5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tree Design

1. With green, sew tree shape onto cream base.
2. With brown, sew trunk below tree.

Snowflake Design

1. With white, embroider snowflake on blue base.

Poinsettia Design

1. With red, sew flower to cream base.
2. Add green for leaf and black for center.

Leaf Design

1. With green, embroider leaf design on cream base.

Candy Cane Design

1. With red, sew candy cane onto cream base.
2. Add white stripes.

Wreath Design

1. With green, sew wreath shape on cream base.
2. Add red highlights for berries.

Mitten Design

1. With red, sew mitten shape onto blue base.
2. Add white trim with white yarn.

Snowman Design

1. With white, sew snowman shape onto blue base.
2. Add eyes and buttons with black, scarf with red, and hat with black.

Finish

Add a loop for hanging by joining yarn at the top of each tag and chaining 20, then sl st back to start. Fasten off and weave in ends. Use these tags to adorn gifts or hang as ornaments once gifts are opened!
