Enchanting Textured Squares Blanket

Materials:
- 8 skeins of worsted weight yarn (any color of your choice)
- 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
15 clusters x 8 rows = 4 inches

Finished Size:
Approximately 50" x 60"

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
sc = single crochet
sp = space
st = stitch
pc = popcorn stitch (5 dc in one st, pull first dc to top of pc)

Stitch Pattern:

The blanket consists of alternating square motifs:

• Square A: (2 rounds) of clusters
• Square B: (2 rounds) of popcorn stitches

Instructions:

Creating the Motifs:

1. Square A: (Make 10)
   1. Ch 4, sl st to form ring.
   2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 3 dc in the ring, *ch 2, 4 dc in ring; repeat from * 2 more times, ch 2, sl st to top of starting ch-3. (12 dc, 4 ch-2 spaces)

2. Square B: (Make 10)
   1. Ch 4, sl st to form ring.

   3. Round 2: In each ch-2 space, (ch 1, sc, ch 3, dc) 5 times; sl st to join.

Assembling the Blanket:

1. Arrange 5 squares across and 6 squares down. Sew them together using the whip stitch.
2. Frame the entire blanket with a round of sc, followed by a round of (ch 3, dc in next st) for the border.

Finishing:

1. Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle.
