Crochet Elegant Textured Shoulder Purse Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight cotton yarn in a natural color
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5mm)
• A wooden button, approximately 1 inch in diameter

Gauge:

14 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches in the pattern stitch

Finished Size:

Approximately 12 inches wide, 9 inches tall (without the strap), and 2 inches deep

Pattern Instructions:

Body of the Bag:

1. Chain 36.
2. Row 1: Single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. Turn. (35 stitches)
3. Row 2: Chain 1, single crochet in the first stitch, *double crochet in next stitch, single crochet in next stitch; repeat from * across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch across. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2-3 until the piece measures approximately 9 inches. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Side Seams:
