Elegant Textured Petal Throw Blanket Free Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn (approx. 1200 yards)
- Size I (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch Abbreviations:
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- sp - space
Gauge: 4 inches x 4 inches = 12 sc x 14 rows
Finished Size: Approximately 50 inches x 60 inches
Pattern Instructions:
To begin, chain 162. This will be the foundation row for your throw blanket.
Row 1:
- In the 4th ch from the hook, work 1 dc.
- Ch 1, skip 1 ch, work 1 dc in the next ch, repeat across the row.
- End with a dc in the last ch.
Row 2:
- Ch 2, turn. 1 dc in the first sp.
- (Ch 1, 1 dc in the next sp) across.
Row 3:
- Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in the next sp, ch 2.
- In the next sp, work 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc all in the same sp to form a petal.
- (Skip 2 sp, in the next sp work a petal) across. End with a dc in the last sp.
Row 4:
- Ch 4, turn. In the first sp, work 1 dc.
- (Ch 1, 1 dc in the next sp) across the row.
Repeat Rows 2-4
Continue to repeat Rows 2-4 until the blanket measures approximately 60 inches in length or until you reach the desired size. Finish with a final row of (dc, ch 1) across the top for neatness.
Finishing:
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle. Optionally, add a scalloped border around the edges for an added decorative touch.
