• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet

Instructions

Base

1. Ch 42.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (41 sts)
3. Row 2-3: Ch 1, sc across. Turn.

Main Pattern

4. Row 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), sk 1 st, *(dc, ch 1, dc) in next st, sk 1 st*; repeat from * across ending with dc in last st. Turn.
5. Row 5: Ch 3, *(dc, ch 1, dc) in next ch-1 space*; repeat from * across ending with dc in top of turning ch. Turn.
6. Repeat Row 5 until piece measures approximately 10 inches from starting edge.

Top Border

7. Row 6: Ch 1, sc in each st and ch-1 space across. Turn.
8. Row 7: Repeat Row 6.

Hanging Loop

9. Ch 15, sl st to join and form a loop at the top corner. Fasten off and weave in ends.
