Crochet Elegant Textured Bow Headband Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn in brown
  • 5.5mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet
  • dc – double crochet
  • fpdc – front post double crochet
  • bpdc – back post double crochet
  • sl st – slip stitch
  • st(s) – stitch(es)

Headband Pattern:

  1. Ch 72, join with a sl st to form a loop, being careful not to twist the chain.
  2. Row 1: Ch 2 (does not count as a st here and throughout), dc in each ch around, sl st to first dc to join. (72 sts)
  3. Row 2: Ch 2, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st; repeat from * around, sl st to first fpdc. (72 sts)
  4. Row 3-5: Repeat Row 2.
  5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Bow Pattern:

  1. Ch 24, turn.
  2. Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (22 sts)
  3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the last st.
  4. Row 3-5: Repeat Row 2.
  5. Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Center Wrap Pattern:

  1. Ch 10, turn.
  2. Row 1: Dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (8 sts)
  3. Row 2: Ch 2, turn, dc in each st across.
  4. Row 3-4: Repeat Row 2.
  5. Fasten off leaving a long tail.

Assembly:

  1. Fold the bow piece in half and sew edges together to form a circle.
  2. Place the bow on top of the headband, positioning it in the center.
  3. Wrap the center wrap around both the bow and the headband, sewing the ends together tightly at the back to secure the bow in place.
  4. Weave in any remaining ends.
