Crochet Breezy Textured Summer Crop Top

Materials Needed:

• Sport weight yarn (#2) - approximately 400-800 yards depending on size
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Stitches Used:

• Front Post Double Crochet (FPdc)
• Slip Stitch (sl st)

Gauge:

15 dc and 8 rows = 4 inches in pattern.

• XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL)

Instructions:

Body of the Top

1. Begin by chaining 92 (98, 104, 110, 116, 122) stitches. Join to form a circle, making sure not to twist the chain.
2. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in each stitch around. Join with a sl st to the top of the first dc.
3. Round 2: Ch 2, *FPdc in the next stitch, dc in the next stitch.* Repeat from * to * around. Join.
4. Repeat Round 2 until your piece measures 12 inches from the bottom (or desired length). You can adjust as needed for sizing.

Armholes

1. For Armholes, chain 18 (20, 22, 24, 26, 28), skip the next stitches, join back into the circle to continue the pattern as before.
2. Continue the pattern for 6 rounds until reaching the shoulder area, then finish off.

Finishing

1. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
2. For a scalloped edge, attach yarn at the bottom of the top: *[sc, ch 3, sc] in the same stitch.* Repeat this around the bottom edge and armholes for a decorative finish.
