Breezy Textured Over-sized Throw-On
Materials:
- Yarn: Light-weight cotton blend yarn (approx. 400g)
- Hook: 5.5 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Measuring tape
Gauge:
15 stitches x 9 rows = 4 inches in single crochet stitch.
Sizes:
- Small/Medium (M): 36" bust
- Large/XL (L): 44" bust
Stitches Used:
- Chain (Ch)
- Single Crochet (sc)
- Double Crochet (dc)
- Half Double Crochet (hdc)
- Extended Single Crochet (exsc)
Pattern Instructions:
Body: (Make 2 Panels)
- Ch 66 (for M) or 76 (for L).
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across (65 sc / 75 sc).
- Row 2: Ch 2, turn; dc in each stitch across.
- Row 3: Ch 1, turn; *sc in next st, exsc in next st; repeat from * across.
- Rows 4-20: Repeat Rows 2-3 to create texture, ending with a dc row.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Joining:
- Lay both panels side by side. Using a sl st, join the tops of the panels together to form the neckline.
- Leave the bottom open, as this will create the sleeves and body of the throw-on.
Finishing:
- For the hem, Ch 1, sc evenly around the bottom edge.
- For the sleeves, attach yarn at the top side seams, and sc down to create a ribbed edge. Ch 1, turn, and sc back up.
- Repeat for the other side.
Notes:
