Colorful Knit Teddy Bears Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn in various colors (e.g., orange, blue, yellow, and more)
• Knitting needles size US 8 (5mm)
• Polyester stuffing
• Black embroidery floss for facial features
• Ribbon for bows
• Tapestry needle

Gauge:

16 stitches and 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch

Abbreviations:

• CO: Cast on
• K: Knit
• P: Purl
• BO: Bind off

Instructions:

Body:

1. CO 40 stitches.
2. Work in garter stitch (K all rows) for 50 rows.
3. BO loosely.
4. Fold the piece in half lengthwise. Sew sides together, leaving top open for stuffing.
5. Stuff the body firmly with polyester stuffing. Sew the top closed tightly.

Head:

1. CO 30 stitches.
2. Knit 40 rows in garter stitch.
3. BO loosely.
4. Fold in half and sew sides, leaving a small opening for stuffing.
5. Stuff the head and sew closed.
6. Embroider facial features using black embroidery floss.

Ears (Make 2):

1. CO 10 stitches.
2. Knit 10 rows.
3. BO lightly and sew onto the top sides of the head.

Arms and Legs (Make 4):

1. CO 15 stitches.
2. Knit 20 rows.
3. BO and fold to sew into tube shapes.
4. Stuff lightly and sew securely to body.

Finishing:

1. Attach head to body securely with the extra yarn.
2. Tie ribbons around the neck as desired.
