Boho Style Crochet Crop Top Pattern

Materials

• Red worsted weight cotton yarn (approximately 200 yards)
• Crochet hook size H (5.0 mm)
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends

4 inches = 15 double crochets (dc) and 8 rows in double crochet.

Instructions

Body of the Top

1. Chain 62 (this will be the width of the top). Make sure to check your gauge before starting.
2. Row 1: Dc in the 4th ch from the hook and in each ch across (60 dc). Turn.
3. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in the next dc, *ch 1, skip the next dc, dc in the next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in the next dc, *ch 1, skip the next ch-1 space, dc in the next dc; repeat from * across. Turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the piece measures about 12 inches in height (or desired length). This should create a nice openwork pattern.

Creating the Bust Area

1. Once you reach the desired height, begin to shape the bust. Mark the center with a stitch marker at the 30th dc from either side.
