Gauge:
16 stitches x 22 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch (after blocking).
Abbreviations:
- CO: Cast On
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- St: Stitch
- BO: Bind Off
Instructions:
- Cast On: CO 30 stitches using your first color (let's start with maroon).
- Pattern Stitch: Repeat the following rows until the scarf reaches your desired length, typically around 60 inches:
- Row 1: K all stitches.
- Row 2: K all stitches.
- Switch Color: After knitting 20 rows in maroon, switch to blue:
- Row 21: K all stitches with blue yarn.
- Row 22: K all stitches with blue yarn.
- Continue this process, alternating colors every 20 rows until you've used all four colors.
- Final Row: After incorporating the last color (red), knit 2 more rows in red.
