Whimsical Twisting Vine Necklace

Materials Needed:

• Medium weight cotton yarn (approx. 50g)
• Crochet hook size 4mm
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
• Optional: beads or buttons for embellishments

Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sc - single crochet
• dc - double crochet
• sl st - slip stitch

Instructions:

1. Foundation Chain: Chain 60. This will form the base of the necklace.
2. First Row: In the 2nd chain from the hook, sc. Continue to sc across. (Total: 59 sc)
3. Second Row: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn. *dc in next st, ch 1, skip next st, repeat from * until the end of the row. Turn.
4. Third Row: Ch 1, sc in each ch-1 space from previous row. Turn.
5. Vine Creation: Ch 15, in the 5th ch from hook, dc. In the next ch, sc, and then in the next ch, dc. Repeat until vine has 5-7 twists. Fasten off.
6. Attaching the Vines: Using the yarn needle, attach each vine to the base, evenly spacing them out along the chain. Secure with sl st and weave in any ends.
7. Final Touch: Optionally string beads or buttons onto the vines for added charm. Adjust the length of the necklace by slipping the ends through the chains or securing with a clasp.
