Materials:
- 5 skeins of super bulky yarn (approx. 100 yards each, choose your favorite color!)
- Crochet hook size N/P (10 mm)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
12 stitches x 8 rows = 4 inches in ripple stitch pattern.

Dimensions:
Approx. 50 inches wide and 60 inches long.

Pattern Notes:
- This pattern uses a combination of double crochet (dc) and chain stitches to create the ripple effect. Be sure to keep your tension loose to maintain the softness of the blanket.

Instructions:

1. Foundation Chain: Chain 72 (or a multiple of 12, plus 6 for edge stitches).
2. Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, make 2 double crochets (dc). Skip 2 chains, and in the next chain, make 3 dc. Repeat this pattern of *skipping 2 chains, 3 dc in the next chain* until the end of the row. Make 2 dc in the last chain. Turn.
3. Row 2: Chain 3 (counts as first dc), in the same space make 2 dc. In the next 3 dc shell from the previous row, make 3 dc. Repeat this until the end. Make 2 dc in the top of the last chain 3. Turn.
4. Row 3: Chain 3, make 2 dc in the same space. In the next shell, make 3 dc. Continue this pattern, making 2 dc in the last dc of the previous row. Turn.
5. Repeat Row 3 until the blanket reaches your desired length, ending with an even row (optional: switch colors at this point for a fun effect).
6. Finishing: To create a border, single crochet (sc) evenly around the entire blanket, placing 3 sc in each corner. Slip stitch to the first sc to join. Fasten off and weave in ends.
