Materials:

• Yarn: Worsted weight cotton yarn in beige and pink

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• st = stitch
• sl st = slip stitch
• RS = right side

Instructions:

Base of Basket:

1. With beige yarn, ch 41.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn. (40 sc)
3. Rows 2-20: Ch 1, sc in each st across. Turn.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Sides of Basket:

1. Join beige yarn to a corner of the base. Work sc around all sides, placing 3 sc in each corner. (Ensure stitch count remains even for smooth sides.) Place marker for beginning of round.
2. Rounds 2-18: Sc in each st around. (Do not join, continue in spiral.)

Switch to pink yarn and do 2 more rounds of sc. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Lid (Make 2):
