Crochet Adorable Heart Center Flower with Stem & Leaves Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• DK weight cotton yarn in red, white, and green
• Crochet hook size F/3.75mm
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Pattern Instructions:

Heart Center:

1. With red yarn, ch 2.
2. Round 1: Work 3 sc into second ch from hook, ch 1, join with sl st (3 sc).
3. Round 2: Ch 1, (2 sc) in each st, join (6 sc).
4. Round 3: [Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] around, join (9 sc).
5. Round 4: Sl st into next st, hdc, dc in next st, [2 dc in next st] 2 times, dc, hdc in next st, sl st, hdc, dc in next st, [2 dc in next st] 2 times, dc, hdc, sl st into last st, fasten off.

Petals (make 6):

1. With white yarn, ch 4, join to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Work 6 sc in ring, join (6 sc).
3. Round 2: [2 sc in each st] around, join (12 sc).
4. Round 3: [Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] around, join (18 sc).

Assembly of Flower:

1. Sew the heart onto the center of the flower.
2. Arrange and sew the 6 petals around the heart center.

Stem:

1. With green yarn, ch 30.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each ch across, ch 1, turn (29 sc).
3. Row 2-3: Sc in each st across, ch 1, turn. Fasten off.

Leaves (make 2):

1. With green yarn, ch 10.
2. Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and next 7 ch, 3 sc in last ch. Working on opposite side, sc in next 7 ch, 2 sc in last ch, sl st to first sc.
3. Row 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next 3 sts), (sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in last 2 sts), sl st to join.
4. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Final Assembly:

1. Sew the stem to the backside of the flower.
2. Attach leaves symmetrically on either side of the stem.
