Materials
- Lightweight cotton yarn in pink, green, white, yellow, and other colors of choice
- Crochet hook size 3.5 mm (E)
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Wooden rings
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker

- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase
- dec = decrease
- st = stitch
Pattern
Birdhouse
Base
- With green yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6 sts)
- Round 2: inc in each st around (12 sts)
- Round 3: (sc in next st, inc) around (18 sts)
- Continue increasing until you reach a diameter of approximately 5 inches, alternating rows of sc and inc as follows:
- Round 4: (sc in next 2 sts, inc) around (24 sts)
- Round 5: (sc in next 3 sts, inc) around (30 sts)
- Work sc in each st for 10 rounds.
- Decrease until the top is closed, mirroring the increases.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Roof
- With pink yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6 sts)
- Round 2: inc in each st around (12 sts)
- Continue increasing to match the birdhouse base, then add a scalloped edge decoration:
- Final round: (skip next st, 5 dc in next st, skip next st, sl st in next st) repeated around.
- Fasten off and sew to the birdhouse base.
Entrance
- Using black yarn, embroider a small circle for the entrance.
Birds
- Create small amigurumi birds using pink, white, and yellow yarn following a basic amigurumi bird pattern. Attach small black beads for eyes.
- Stuff lightly and sew closed.
Leaves and Tassels
- Crochet small leaves: ch 8, sc in second ch from hook and in each across.
- Attach a tassel at the end of each string of leaves.
Assembly
- Use the wooden rings and attach strings of birds, leaves, and tassels to the bottom of the birdhouse.
- Secure the strings well to ensure durability.
- Hang your whimsical mobile in your desired spot.
