Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in off-white, orange, and green
- Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- tr – treble crochet
- bbl – bobble stitch
- sl st – slip stitch
Pattern
Base of the Cowl
- With off-white yarn, ch 151. Join with sl st to form a ring, ensuring no twists.
- Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc here and throughout), dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of starting ch-2. (150 dc)
- Round 2-5: Ch 2, dc in each dc around. Join with sl st. (150 dc)
Pumpkin & Vine Section
- Round 6: Change to green yarn, ch 1, sc in each dc around. Join with sl st. (150 sc)
- Round 7: Ch 1, sc in first 10 sc, *change to orange yarn, work bbl in next sc, change to green, sc in the next 5 sc*; repeat *to* around. Join with sl st. (15 bobbles)
- Round 8: Ch 1, sc in each sc around. Join with sl st. (150 sc)
Top of the Cowl
- Round 9-12: Switch back to off-white yarn, ch 2, dc in each sc around. Join with sl st. (150 dc)
Finishing
- Fasten off, weave in all ends using a tapestry needle.
- Fold cowl in half lengthwise and seam the ends together using the tapestry needle and matching yarn.
