Abbreviations:

• ch - chain
• sl st - slip stitch
• sc - single crochet
• hdc - half double crochet
• dc - double crochet
• tr - treble crochet

Instructions:

Center Diamond:

1. Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.
2. Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into ring, join with sl st to top of ch-3. (12 dc)
3. Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, join with sl st. (24 dc)
4. Rnd 3-4: Ch 2, *1 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st* repeat around, join with sl st. (36 hdc)

Main Square:

5. Rnd 5: Ch 1, *sc in next 8 sts, 2 sc in next* repeat 3 times, sc in last 8 sts, join with sl st. (40 sc)
6. Rnd 6: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, *dc in next 10 sts, 2 dc in next* repeat 3 times, join with sl st. (48 dc)
7. Rnd 7: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join with sl st.

Finishing:

8. Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends.
