Adorable Holiday Paws-Themed Pet Stocking

Materials:

• Yarn: 100g Red, 100g Green, 100g Tan (worsted weight)
• Crochet Hook: 5.0mm (H)
• Fiberfill (for stuffing, optional)
• Safety Eyes (10mm)
• Sewing Needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st = stitch
• inc = increase
• dec = decrease

Instructions:

Stocking Base:

1. With Red yarn, ch 40.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (39 sc). Turn.
3. Rows 2-15: Ch 1, sc across (39 sc). Turn.
4. Switch to Tan yarn for the next section.
5. Rows 16-30: Ch 1, sc across (39 sc). Turn.
6. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Paw Pattern:

1. With Tan yarn, ch 8.
2. Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (7 sc). Turn.
3. Rows 2-4: Ch 1, inc in first st, sc in next 5, inc in last st (9 sc). Turn.
4. Rows 5-7: Ch 1, sc across (9 sc). Turn.
5. Row 8: Ch 1, dec, sc in next 5, dec (7 sc). Turn.
6. Row 9: Ch 1, dec, sc in next 3, dec (5 sc). Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Make 4 paws.

Assembly:

1. Attach the paws to the bottom of the stocking with the sewing needle, positioning as desired.
2. Using safety eyes, place them on the top of the stocking to form a face. Ensure to securely attach.
3. If desired, stuff lightly with fiberfill for added dimension.
4. Attach a loop at the top of the stocking by creating a ch 10 with any leftover yarn and sewing it in place.
