Cozy Color-Block Sweater Pattern

Materials

• Yarn: Worsted weight mohair blend yarn in four colors: green, beige, pink, and yellow
• Knitting needles: Size 8mm (US 11)
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge

12 stitches and 16 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch

Abbreviations

• CO - Cast On
• k - knit
• p - purl
• st(s) - stitch(es)
• k2tog - knit 2 stitches together
• rnd - round

Instructions

Body

With green yarn, CO 80 sts.

1. Join in the round being careful not to twist. Place marker to indicate beginning of the round.
2. Rnds 1-10: (k2, p2) repeat around. This creates the ribbing.
3. Switch to beige yarn.
4. Rnds 11-30: Work in stockinette stitch (knit all rounds) for 20 rounds.

Color Block Section

Switch to pink yarn.

5. Rnds 31-50: Continue in stockinette stitch for 20 rounds.
6. Switch to yellow yarn.
7. Rnds 51-60: Work in stockinette stitch for 10 rounds.
8. Switch to green yarn.
9. Rnds 61-70: Continue in stockinette stitch for 10 rounds.

Sleeves

(Make 2)

With green yarn, CO 30 sts.

1. Work as for body ribbing: (k2, p2) for 10 rounds.
2. Switch to beige yarn.
3. Rnds 11-30: Work in stockinette. Begin increasing 1 st at the beginning and end of every 7th round until you have 40 sts.
4. Switch to pink yarn.
5. Rnds 31-40: Work in stockinette.
6. Switch to yellow yarn.
7. Rnds 41-50: Work in stockinette.
8. Switch to green yarn.
9. Rnds 51-60: Work in stockinette stitch.
10. Bind off all sts loosely.

Finishing

1. Sew sleeves to body using a tapestry needle.
2. Weave in all loose ends.
3. Block sweater to measurements for a perfect finish.
